PRESS RELEASE : IMPORTANT ANNOUCEMENT
Gobind Sugar Mills Limited (GSML), a constituent of K K Birla group of sugar industries, in a press release informed the media on 14th April, 2011 that it has received from Zuari Industries Limited (ZIL) a letter intimating its withdrawal from Goa bench of Bombay High Court a scheme of amalgamation of GSML with ZIL. GSML accordingly had intimated the said fact to Calcutta Stock Exchange and had also convened a meeting of its Board of Directors on 18th April,2011 to consider the said letter and take appropriate action in relation thereto.

PRESS RELEASE-IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT
Gobind Sugar Mills Limited, a constituent of K K Birla Group of sugar industries, in a press release informed on 18th April, 2011 that the Board of Directors of the Company had at its meeting held earlier on the day decided to seek recall of the sanction order (Order) of the Hon’ble High Court of Calcutta dated 27th July, 2010 approving a Scheme of Amalgamation (Scheme) of the Company with Zuari Industries Limited (ZIL) pursuant to Sections 391 to 394 of the Companies Act, 1956, following the receipt of a letter dated 14th April, 2011 from Zuari Industries Limited intimating of their decision to withdrawn their pending application before the Goa bench of Bombay High Court seeking sanction of the Scheme.”
