The Upper Ganges Sugar & Industries Limited Reports Annual Financial Results

Upper Ganges Sugar & Industries Ltd. (UGSIL), belonging to the renowned K.K. Birla Group, announced its financial results for the year ended 30th June’09 in city today. The company posted gross sales of Rs 46106.33 lacs and net annual profit of Rs 626.94 lacs.
“Despite a very challenging scenario experienced in the recent past, we are very pleased to report strong financial results for this year. The reasons for the same could be attributed to the firming of sugar prices along with zero duty import and positive initiatives undertaken by the Government for the industry. With plans for consolidation and refinement of our internal policies and operational processes, we are optimistic that we will continue to see the rising trend”, said Mr C.S Nopany, Director, UGSIL.
The Board of Directors of UGSIL at its meeting held on the 28th August 2009 took on record the following Audited Financial Results for the year ended 30th June, 2009. |
